The Spring Cleanse

Well, we last feasted on Vegan, Blueberry, Banana, Cinnamon Muffins. So this week I am introducing you to our SPRING CLEANSE
Getting ready for your Spring Cleanse should begin with you cutting out, or weaning yourself off of Sugar, Animal Products, including Dairy, and , yes you guessed it Caffeine! You will need to drop all processed foods from your diet. This includes canned and frozen foods with the exception of Frozen Berries for Smoothies and Peas which are great in a Salad. Soy products like Tofu, Tempeh and (sorry about this one because it is so good for you) Miso need to be put on hold. Say goodbye to all Glutenous Grains such as (Wheat, Spelt, Semolina, Rye, Oats, Kamut, Bulgar, Barley). 
Take walks in Nature, Stretch, Yoga, Meditate, Listen to Relaxing Music, Slow Down. This is your time to connect with Yourself. Read uplifting Literature and watch Movies that support positive thoughts and growth. 
The length of your Cleanse depends on you and your needs. Try it for 3 days , 1 week, or 1 month. It takes approximately 21 days to break a habit so hang there and savor the nourishment.  




Here is your shopping list!
Grains: Millet, Quinoa, Amaranth
Fruits: All except, Grapefruit, Oranges, Limes and Bananas
Vegetables : All except Night Shades (Tomatoes, Potatoes, Eggplant) and an assortment of Sprouts
Sea Vegetables: Nori, Wakame, Hijiki
Organic first cold pressed Olive Oil, Coconut Oil and Flax Oil and Tahini for Salad Dressings
Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt, Umeboshi Vinegar and Umeboshi Plums or Paste
Lots of Lemons, Ginger, Garlic and Onions
Yogi Tea / Detox (great for supporting your Liver)


Your eating plan should mirror this design!


Breakfast: 
Fresh Vegetable and or Fruit Juice with a Multiple Vitamin Tablet, Mega Foods or New Chapter are great Whole Food sources Or a Green Smoothie with your choice of Fruit and a few leaves of Kale You should make a Quart of Juice or Smoothie to last till lunch.
Also consider mixing up a quart of "Master Cleanser".


Master Cleanser Recipe:
1 Quart of Natural Spring or Purified Water
1 Whole Lemon Peeled, Pith intact 
1 Tbs. Organic Honey, Maple Syrup or Agave Nectar
1 Pinch of Cheyenne Pepper 
MASTER CLEANSER can be sipped throughout the Morning and Afternoon


Lunch:
A Large Salad consisting of Lots of Fresh Raw Vegetables, Sprouts and a scoop of Quinoa if you are in need of something substantial, or maybe a half of an Avocado. This can be topped with Olive Oil, Lemon, Sea Salt and an Assortment of Fresh Herbs or instead of the Sea Salt add Umeboshi Vinegar
Finish with a cup of Detox Tea


Red Pepper Sesame Salad Dressing:
1 Red Pepper Diced Large
2 Slices of Red Onion
2 Tbl. Organic Raw Tahini
1 Small Clove of Garlic
1/2 Lemon Juiced
Dill or Herb of your choice
1 Peeled and Seeded Cucumber
1/2 Cup to 1 Cup Spring or Purified Water (depending on your desired thickness)


Dinner:
Begin your meal with a Juice Cocktail of your choice. Serve it  in a Goblet or Fluted Champagne Glass
This meal should be fairly simple, maybe a mirror image of Lunch, or a Blended Soup.   Try rolling chilled  Quinoa in a Sheet of Nori and add some Vegetables, Sauerkraut or other Fermented Veggies. You can place a bit of your Salad dressing down the Center of the Quinoa before rolling up the Nori 
Finish with a cup of Detox Tea or Herbal Tea of your choice


Blended Soup:
This is an assortment of Vegetables, Avocado for creaminess, some Lemon juice , Sea Salt Herbs an Spices of your choice! Whip it up in the blender and serve garnished with Cilantro, Italian Parsley, or Scallions. Presentation is everything!
